Midway on the main nature trail, I observed a Connecticut Warbler feeding in the vicinity of the white gate leading to the Restricted Area in the park. The bird was working its way along the trail moving in and out of the underbrush. The trail was pretty active with other migrants observed: Cape May Warbler, Blackpoll(many), American Redstarts, Common Yellowthroat, Black and White Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Worm-eating Warbler, Prairie Warbler,Northern Waterthrush (many), and Ovenbirds. Also observed were Boblinks on both ends of trail and Yellow-billed Cuckoo (2).
Looked for the Black-faced Grassquit for several hours with no luck - I hope other birders present were successful.
