Evergreen cemetery was stuffed with birds at lunchtime, and a few kindred spirits enjoying them. There were large flocks of Blackpolls, with many Black-throated blues, and Redstarts. Scattered among them were Parula, Black and White, and Cape may (including a male in startlingly beautiful plumage). I saw one each Yellowthroat, Ovenbird, Red-eyed vireo, and Gray cheeked (?) thrush; perhaps most unexpected were the 4 yellow-billed cuckoos. The residents were in fine form too, with Downy woodpeckers feeding offspring, and a flaming orange spot-breasted oriole. It was pretty quiet so all the above could be enjoyed while listening to the Mockingbirds. Best lunchtime ever!
