Hey all,
At 10:30am, I accidently flushed the SE Owl in the NW area near the moat in the tall grass. I was following Bobolinks in hope of the reported Dickcissel. The owl teed up in a short bush for 3 mins before taking cover nearby. Bob Showler from Homestead and Penny (fort volunteer) got to enjoy the bird too!! I've missed the bird twice on Loggerhead key so I was DUE!!
Lots of birds this morning, thrushes, warblers, kingbirds, etc
Currently in KW Botanical Garden but no Spindalis YET!
