This report is several days old, but I thought my little photo essay (see link below) may be of interest to some. My trip last weekend was bracketed my "close, but no cigar" moments. Evidently Friday, April 26th was a 21+ warbler day for those visiting the park. Then literally minutes after I left on Monday the Fork-tailed Flycatcher was located. I guess you can't win them all!

Over the weekend the warbler variety decreased but I still enjoyed some beauties like a male Magnolia Warbler. Other favorites for me were the Scarlet and Summer Tanagers and of course the Roseate Terns that would occasionally show up on the south coaling dock. A female Shiny Cowbird stopped in a couple times too.

The Short-eared Owl was common a couple weeks ago, but not while I visited. Black Noddy sightings have been slow this year too.

Finally, on my way home on Monday I stopped at the Marathon Airport for a couple minutes and immediately had a calling Antillean Nighthawk at 8:36PM.
