Toe called and said he was going to look for the Upland Sandpipers near Luck
Hammock. I decided to meet him down there and found 3-4 towards the back of the
field. They were too far away for me to take a photo. I tried to walk closer,
but they kept flying farther away.


We headed to Luck Hammock and saw a few Sandhill Cranes and as we were
leaving a Yellow Billed Cuckoo flew into the hammock.


Toe had do leave but I headed back to the field where we saw the Upland
Sandpipers. I pulled my van up into the field a short way and waited. Soon the
rain came and so did the Upland Sandpipers.


Another life bird for me...
