Finally, the La Sagra's Flycatcher at Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP was cooperative this morning and moved closer to the main road. At 8:10 AM I first saw it ~20 yards west of the main road and .25 miles south of the main road and No Name Harbor road intersection. It moved west ~40 more yards and sat up in a Gumbo Limbo. At 9:25 AM it flew in to the same area and gave John Arnett a great view. It moved to a wire for a few seconds, then flew south over the tall buttonwoods.

During the early sighting it vocalized with a call that I've only heard twice before - a loud rattle-growl with a generic Myiarchus flourish at the end. It was silent during the second sighting.

The photo is terrible - backlit and doesn't show the correct proportion of the bill and the right head colors. We had excellent views of its brown bushy crest, yellow wash and long black bill before it flew to the wire.
