Yes, I actually found an Ovenbird this morning at Sadowski. Wow, what a surprise that was. Here I was expecting to use Blue Jay for Bird-A-Day. Yesterday I stopped at 72 ave. along Deering estate and the east side of Matheson in the morning. In the afternoon after the rain I tried the Matheson service road. In total I got 1 Redstart, 1 Prairie, 1 Worm-eating, and 1 Black-and-white. No thrushes, orioles, tanagers, vireos, grosbeaks, kingbirds, hits, runs, or errors. Nada. Not even the rain helped.
A report from the Cape this morning only mentioned a couple of Cape May, Prairie, and a Common Yellowthroat.
