We went on a walk in Matheson Hammock (west side) this morning and saw what I believe was two Great Horned Owls. I think it was a mother and child (no horns yet)? We have seen the adult several times in the park thanks to help from Joel Rosenthal. They were seen in the palms near the exit of the straight path from Old Cutler.

We also saw the single Red-headed Woodpecker, a single Orange-winged Parrot, a pair of Red-masked Parakeets, a lot of Chimney Swifts, and the pair of Common Hill Mynas among the other usuals.

East side had very lonely Palm Warbler and Common Yellowthroat.
