Toe and I tried the site off 97th Ave again this morning. We arrived at 7am
and but fields had fewer birds than the day before. But within a half hour
flocks of sandpipers, plovers, ibis, gulls and etc began showing up. We saw

Long-Billed Dowitcher spotted at site off SW 97th Ave.

Toe and I both heard its call as they took flight twice. I checked the call
after I returned home and confirmed the ID. Toe had heard the call of a
Short-billed Dowitcher just days before so was confident of the ID in the field.

Common Tern

First photo was taken at the site off  SW 97th Ave.

The lighting was poor and didn't show much coloration.

I then moved to another location with a better light angle. I was able to get
only one photo from there before the Tern flew.
