Seven birders joined Jake Tucker and me for the TAS walk this morning at the Environmental Center on Miami-Dade College's Kendall campus. Thanks once again to Jake for providing TAS access to the environmental center. Birds tallied during our two hour visit:

White-winged Dove (heard)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
White-eyed Vireo (heard)
Blue-headed Vireo

Purple Martin
Gray Catbird
Northern Mockingbird
European Starling
Cedar Waxwing
Orange-crowned Warbler
Northern Parula
Cape May Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler

I then led the group to nearby Kendall Indian Hammock Park. The only new birds added to the day list were Cattle Egret, White Ibis, Turkey Vulture, Mourning Dove, Black-throated Blue Warbler and American Redstart. Some of us then visited the neighborhoods north of Baptist Hospital. In the Kendallwood subdivision, we found a singing male Baltimore Oriole. In the neighborhood between Kendallwood and Baptist, we found a single Red-whiskered Bulbul.
