A group of 23 birded today at Plantation Preserve and Evergreen Cemetery. We logged a total of 68 species.
Highlights as follows:

Plantation Preserve:
As we walked along the path we had good observation of 3 singing brown thrashers. We were surprised when we spotted at close range a flock of 5 bronzed cowbirds (kudos Brian Rapoza). As we continued we saw a flock of 12 cedar waxwings and 2 purple gallinules. Our only shorebirds were 3 spotted sandpipers, and a flying flock of least sandpipers. Lastly, on two occasions a few yellow-chevroned parakeets flew overhead.

Evergreen Cemetery:
We ran int a flock of migrating birds, highlighted by 8 species of warblers, including redstart, black-throated blue and black-throated green. To our surprise we flushed a chuck-will's widow and later in our walk we relocated the bird on a branch unobscured. Everyone got great views (kudos John Boyd). We also got a look at a screech owl.
