A few northern parulas, palm warblers, and common yellow throated warblers and then..... The first painted buntings I have seen at the zoo this year. The male was in full plumage behind the Kudu paddock along with a brilliant female. As I left the zoo this afternoon I saw 2 more behind the lemur exhibit! Both males, 1 immature and the other full plumage. The paddling of lesser scaup was counted at 12 today in the lake behind Giraffe.
