White-tailed Kite Near Everglades Holiday Park

A visit to Everglades Holiday Park this morning turned up the first White-tailed Kite that I have seen in this part of Broward County in several years, it was hunting south of the levee a couple of miles west of the gate past of the main building. Also seen near the gate were a male American Redstart, Orange-crowned Warblers, Northern Waterthrushes, and Painted Buntings all of which have been around all winter.
