I made a quick trip out to 357 before dawn this morning, having to be out by 0830 or so due to other commitments. It was fog-shrouded which made viewing difficult (but good chip practice!) Lots of Savannah and a few Grasshopper Sparrows, Indigo Buntings, and increased numbers of Yellowthroats from earlier this season. I could not find the Tropical Kingbird; on my last visit last week it only turned up on a wire at the next gate up from the main entranceway, so it may be roaming (or gone).
The most unusual sighting was a Fish Crow, calling repeatedly as it flew north over the canal structure. I've never seen/heard a Fish Crow out this far west in Miami-Dade.
