Here are some of the highlights of the Coot Bay CBC in Everglades
National Park.

Greater Flamingo - 9 seen far out on the mud flats at the end of Snake
Bight Trail.
Gull-billed Tern - at least a dozen or more at the end of Snake Bight
Trail.
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1
LESSER NIGHTHAWKS - 12 were counted at dawn and again at dusk. Eco Pond
in Flamingo.
Swainson's Hawk - 1 at the end of Snake Bight Trail.
Short-tailed Hawk - several birds, both color morphs. One dark morph
over Eco Pond with a radio antenna.
Yellow Warbler - 2
Wilson's Warbler - 2 in the trees at the entrance to Eco Pond.
Song Sparrow - 1 on the back side of Eco Pond and 3 or 4 along the
Coastal Prairie Trail. Very rare in our area.
Saltmarsh Sharp-tailed Sparrow - many along the Coastal Prairie Trail.
Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow - many along the Coastal Prairie Trail.
Seaside Sparrow - 1 seen along the Coastal Prairie Trail.
Baltimore Oriole - 3
