So I have been ebirding (internet birding) for the last few nights, scouring the internet for the location of where the white tailed kites are present in south Florida.
I have found plenty of literature stating they did nest in east broward around 1984, and that four pairs nested in west broward around 86. Does anyone know the status and location of those nests? Considering I live in west Pines, I'd love to go and photograph them.
I thought I had seen the individual in Everglades National park, but after reviewing my photos, I am pretty confident it was just a male Northern Harrier.
Very discouraged. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
