If it hasn't started, then it must be close. I've
got 10-15 Goldfinches still coming to my sock-feeder & they have gone through about 3 lbs. of thistle seed. The males are starting their summer plumage. with the black cap starting to come in around their eyes, and the bright yellow showing up in blotches on their breast. If I keep feeding them, maybe they'll stick around long enough to see why they were named Goldfinches.
