: There is evidence that Bronzed Cowbirds are currently breeding in Collier County. I'm not certain, but I think that this species has been around longer in Collier County than Miami-Dade. Anyone know for sure?

They were reported in Miami-Dade at least as far back as 1984. according to Stevenson and Anderson. They also indicate no reports from Collier (i.e., they postdate the book).

What is the evidence of breeding in Collier? In Miami-Dade, not only have immature birds been seen at feeders, but a youngster was seen last summer being fed by a Spot-breasted Oriole. Unfortunately, efforts to refind them for photos were unsuccessful.
