Pelican Harbor has been rehabbing a razorbill that washed up on shore this winter. He is almost ready for release. We have consulted with other rehabbers and feel his best chance for survival would be to release him further up north in a flock of razorbills. A rehabber on the Outer Banks of N.C. who has experience with pelagic birds has seen groups of razorbills offshore in NC. She has agreed to take him and when he is ready for release transport him out to the flock.

The cost estimate to get the razorbill to NC is approximately $700. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Donations of cash, checks or on PayPal through our website, pelicanharbor.org will be gratefully accepted.
