This is my first time in this forum. Got here from googling Wakodahatchee and picked up on the conversation on the black-bellied Whistling Ducks in Wako and Vierra.
Last Sunday I stopped at the new Green Cay Wetlands, a mile or two from Wakodahatchee, and saw 7 black-bellied Whistling Ducks as soon as we got onto the boardwalk. I featured one in PICTURE TO PONDER - Issue 124 (link below, I think), my photo-a-day ezine, with links to a photo of 6 others, in silhouette, as well as a link to an earlier issue with photos of a pair in Wakodahatchee.
Lastly, there was a Whistling Duck sitting on a bird house near the entrance of Wakodahatchee on Friday. I'm guessing that the Optional Image URL will bring that one up.
For those interested, I regularly have photographs in PICTURE TO PONDER from Wakodahatchee, given I walk there at least 4 to 5 times a week . Anyone interested can check out photo subjects of issues 100-126 in the ARCHIVES at http://ezezine.com/home/1866/. The first 100 are listed in http://www.eteletours.com/favorites1_100.html
