I knew that Cooper's Hawks had nested in my neighborhood this spring, but was out of town when the young were fledged in May (there may have been only 1 surviving nestling). I wondered if any had successfully fledged.
This morning, I got my answer. I heard a big commotion outside involving Jays and Common Grackles. I went outside to look and found them harassing a juvenile Cooper's that had caught a Mourning Dove.
