The leasts seem to have started showing up about 3 weeks ago at Green Cay - north end, same general area where you saw them. I spotted a male and photographed him in that area while looking for another bird, and I've spotted two there with some frequency the past 3 weekends. The virginia rail has been hanging out in the same vicinity.
American bitterns are becoming quite numerous - 4 or 5 at once at Green Cay over the past 3-4 weeks.
