We are in Miami and went up to see the Waxwings based upon your post on Saturday and to see the La Sagra's at Green Cay. We saw both and much much more. It was awesome meeting and having you there. I can't tell you how much nicer birding can be when someone like you shares their experience.
That was a crazy birdfest and it was a great day to see all those Robins, Waxwings, and Yellow-rumps. Hearing all of their calls and seeing their flocks fly all over the place was fantastic and it even drowned out the pump.
We learned about some Orchids too :). She saw the Pileated at Fern Forrest a little later that day as well. Great day with the kids!
