: Can anyone recommend some decent places to see Scrub Jays? Anything south of Merritt Island?
Scrub Jays can be found in Johnathan Dickinson State Park in Jupiter/Hope Sound in the northern part of the park. My best luck has been at the park office, not park entrance on the wires and behind the building. Park in the park office parking lot, also look in the wax mrytles on both sides of the road right as you exit onto US1. They can also be found in the park, but I haven't had much luck.
Scrub Jays are also found at Briggs Nature Center on the road to Macro Island just north of the Rooker Bay. Drive towards the nature center and they are always on the wires just before center.
Of course Archbold Biological Station and Venus road are excellent, check Pranty for all the details.
