--- US 1 is under construction adjacent to the Park. On Tuesday (2-5-2013), only 2 of the 4 lanes were open; large noisy messy machines were grinding away the old pavement, laying new asphalt, & spraying dust, tar, & water in all directions. Expect construction to continue. (Maybe on Sunday the noise will be less noticeable inside the Park.)
--- In preparation for necessary prescribed burns, many acres of the Park have been clear cut & the remaining understory has been smashed by noisy machines to become a mulch layer. Unknown if this noisy cutting/smashing is expected to continue (thereby further shrinking the remaining Sand Pine habitat).
--- 1 ADA portable toilet @ S side of parking lot.
