I did a search, and found a video of a heron eating what was claimed to be a Nutria. If so, it must have been very young, as it was way too small to be an adult. I suspect it was not a Nutria, but some smaller rodent.

The range maps in mammal guides show Nutria are present in the Tampa area, and on the east coast (Merritt Island?), so it wouldn't be that surprising to see one at Wakodahatchee.
