TAS Trip report North Broward 1-26-2013

A very large group of 30 to start filled the parking lot of Tall Cypress Natural Area. The day total was 64 species with 8 species of warbler.

In the parking lot the group got good looks at a Sapsucker and Great Creasted Flycatcher ( Good -in Broward in Winter). Other highlights for the day were northern species like Robins and Goldfinches. We had Nandays nesting!

Thanks to Bruce Pickholtz for pointing out orhids to all including a "Jingle bells" Orchid.

Cudos to John Boyd for finding a hidden female Shoveler among Blue -wing teals at Windmill Park.

Regular birds, but a great weather day and hike and those that made it to the end of the day were rewarded with hospitality at my home
