Hello Florida Birders,

I am in Florida this week (based out of Boca Raton) visiting from Indiana, and I have a few questions for you guys if that's alright.
First, I was planning to visit Key Biscayne for the Western Spindalis and Bananaquit, but it seems as though these birds are no longer present. Is that correct? I'd very much appreciate any information, positive or negative, about these birds this week. In addition, rumor has it that there are some white-crowned pigeons on Key Biscayne this time of year. Can anyone please give me very specific directions on where to find these birds there? (or anywhere else nearby that's easier?) I've searched several times for them on Key Biscayne before with no luck, but am afraid I was searching in slightly the wrong spot.....

Second, I know you are all going to roll your eyes at this one , but if anyone could point me to a specific location where I might have a good shot at finding Smooth-billed Ani, I would be extra eternally grateful. I have spent more hours (more like days) than I care to admit searching the Old Griffin Road area during previous visits I've made, and every time I swear that I will never ever do it again! . But of course I'm always looking to break this promise, if there is a real chance of finding it!

Please feel free to respond on this board, or alternatively, please don't hesitate to respond privately to me at folsen49@yahoo.com

Thank you SO very much for any insight you can provide.
And here's to hoping the La Sagra's at Green Cay will stick around for me at least!

Best wishes,
Frank
