I think it is neither; I believe it could have very well been here all winter. Kentucky Warblers winter as close to South Florida as the Yucatan Peninsula and Cuba. Like other Neotropical species that winter in the Caribbean, I think there is always a chance there will be the odd winter records in extreme South Florida (Swainson's Thrush, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, etc.)
