Toe's directions are spot-on!
The one place where you especially need to be vigilant is the one place where you are likely to see a good bird or two. As you "white-knuckle" Bear Cut Bridge, look to the sides and you will frequently see Forster's or Sandwich Terns. A Common Tern was flying parallel with the bridge recently. On the west side, check the large dead Casuarina tree for the Great Black-Hawk. Liz Golden saw a Razorbill fly over the bridge at rail height on Tuesday at 5:10 PM!
