I can't wait to see a Brown-crested Flycatcher, so I won't keep thinking I'm seeing one.

I sent a picture to Toe and he said basically the same thing.

I get confused by the coloration. Sibley's clearly shows grey color on the Gray Kingbird and the Great-crested and Brown-crested have more of a brown color.
When I first saw the silhouette, I thought it was a Gray Kingbird, but when I saw the rusty brown color and the yellow on the belly, I questioned my first impression.

Next time I will listen for the call when I have a question on the ID. Hopefully that will make the difference in me being able to ID the bird myself.
