The small lake at the intersection of Kendall Dr. and SW 162 Ave (south side) had 4 species of native ducks: Mottled Duck (2), Lesser Scaup (3), Ring-necked Duck (1) and a female Ruddy Duck. Cool to see all native species in a Kendall lake. The lake also had the usual Pied-billed Grebe, Coot, C. Gallinule and Cattle Egret. Surrounding fields had Kestrel and a Loggerhead Shrike with a particulary long and vicious hook to its beak.
The lake near Kendall Dr. and SW 142 Ave has about 25 Ring-necked Ducks.
