This blue-winged x Cinnamon Teal hybrid was spotted at Green Cay Wetlands. I thought it looked different when my eyes spotted a reddish/brownish cheek on this teal. Talk about uniqueness...
In addition, i have spotted an immature Red-headed Woodpecker, a female Lesser Scaup, some Red-breasted Mergansers flying east past Green Cay, and an adult Bald Eagle that looked awfully small. I have learned that the Southern Bald Eagles are smaller than northern species according to The Sibley Guide to Birds.
