This morning I tried for the La Sagra's at Virginia Key for my Bird-A-Day, and hopefully get a better photo than I have in the past. Seems every time I've tried to photograph this species, the light is wrong, or there's a stick or leaf or something in the way. This morning, it was all of the above! At least I'm consistent. It called at around 9:05 a couple hundred yards north of where the railing ends, behind the black tarp on the right side of the road. It was only out for a few seconds before heading northeast.
