Barnes has been relatively quiet unless you run into one of the feeding flocks moving around the park. On Tuesday, a flock in the Rooster Area had Magnolia, Worm-eating, BT Blue, Parula, Black-and-white, and Palm Warblers. This morning, a flock in the parking area median had Yellow-rumped, Palm, Parula, Pine and Prairie Warblers, plus Blue-headed Vireo.
Perhaps a harbinger, there was an Egyptian Goose standing on the roof of the lakeside pavillion nearest the park entrance. I believe this is a new bird for the Barnes list.
