: : I work for Clear Channel Radio and the WIOD transmitter site in Miramar has at least 3 or 4 nesting pairs. I was there in April and saw at least 10 owls and that was only at the front of the 35 acre site.

: When I worked for WKIS/WQAM there were burrowing owls out in the adjacent fields, mostly around the satellite dishes. This was on Sheridan and Palm in Davie/Hollywood. Is that where WIOD is now?? I've been gone from the biz since the two entities merged....

I don't know exact location. I have been there only one time. I am chief engineer here in the keys. It is on the south side of the turnpike in Miramar. When the turnpike runs east and west. It is about 2 miles west of University St. in Miramar.
