I'm sure everyone already knows that Opa Locka Airport is a good spot, but I was out there on Sunday during the heat of the day and I saw more than I'd ever seen at one time.
The best spot:
135th Street (Opa Locka Blvd.) to Le Jeune. Head north, right if you are coming from I95. Take the very first right turn off of Le Jeune into a fenced in area -if you make it to the stop sign, you've gone too far. It's where the old blimp hangar used to be for long time residents. Saw at least ten owls hanging out by their burrows in this area.
