I'm having and Owly New Year... My first bird of the day was a Eastern Screech Owl.. at 1:30 am leaving a new years party. Heard it calling and got a good look at the bird. ... My second bird was a Barn Owl as I headed out for my annual Jan 1st birding trek. I saw the Barn Owl on the road that runs between Dump Marsh and the Dump at about 6:15 am. I also had Barred Owl and Great Horned Owl inside ENP this morning. Hooty hoot!
