On 12-30-2012 at about 10:35 I observed 3 Tropical Kingbirds on the same power wire for at least 5 minutes. at one time they were so close together they were in one field of view through my 32MM wide angle lens on my spotting scope. on the same wire there was an American Kestrel which didn't seem to bother the Kingbirds. I had ample time to view the birds tails as they flew out from the wire and then returned. Their tails were a solid dark color with no white flashes on either side. Their bellies and breast were yellow. and they all had a dark patch around the eye along with dark thick bills.
I did observe 1 Western Kingbird which had a light gray head and throat. It was smaller than the Tropical Kingbirds with a much smaller beak.
The Vermillion Flycatcher was on the barbwire on the fence around the pump house. On the fence in the back of the pump house I saw an Eastern Meadow lark
