Interesting news. Now is the time that the Cooper's Hawks should be nesting in Miami-Dade County. It was two years ago this month that the first nest on the University of Miami campus was
destroyed during a spring storm. That was the
first year that they had been reported nesting
in M-D County. I believe that you reported a successful nest in Morningside park that year.

: A female Cooper's Hawk was seen twice today, about a mile from each other in Miami Shores. A female American Redstart and a couple Blackpoll Warblers were heard.

: White-winged Parakeets can be seen at the "regular spot" as early as 7:30 in the morning.
