The Neotropic Cormorant was again seen in the Matheson Marina area today. It was sitting on Channel Marker 1 and later on Marker 3 not far outside the lagoon beach.. The smaller size and more slender build compared with DCCOs was very noticeable, as was the lighter orange of the gular skin and the fine white border. I was quite close, in a kayak.
