I was there on Saturday before Christmas, and walked around the lake as well as in Pond Hawk...several royal terns were flying around the lake, pied-billed grebes, cormorants, anhingas, mottled ducks, and muscovy ducks, and moorhens were all in the lake or around it. In Pond Hawk, I spotted a nice grey male northern harrier, two kestrels, a merlin, eastern phoebes, palm warblers, blue-grey gnatcatchers, yellow-rumped warblers, red-bellied woodpeckers, and a brown thrasher.
