Fish Crows

I apologise that my original thankyou to Joe Barros and co may have got a bit confused when it came to rails (jetlag?) but thanks for the comment, Alex. I figured the Tamiami rail was a king, which was also a lifer. I have previously seen clapper footprints only five minutes old in saltmarsh but have yet to see the bird!

I would be grateful to anyone who can advise me on the fish crows. I have seen them before but identified by someone else. This trip I have seen crows that seem to have an odd flight and wonder whether they are fish crows. Is the wingbeat more a stiff scoop than a flap, with the tail sticking out more behind - almost like a nutcracker or a (Eurasian at least) jay?

I am now safely back under a tree with a singing Turdus merula. My last day I did not go for the vireo but found a superb male snail kite; just right to finish off.
