This morning, while paddling my canoe north from Convoy Point in Biscayne National Park I saw a male Black Scoter just south of Fender Point and a female Black Scoter near the spoil islands at the mouth of Mowry Canal. They were sitting on the water near shore, and both allowed me to approach within about 50 yards.
