I've been by the C-111 a bunch of times (all early) and was never treated to the Tropical Kingbird, so I gave it another try today. I enjoyed the Vermilion Flycatcher (male only) until about 10:30 when I saw three birds perching on the power lines about a quarter mile north of the road (9336). I walked out to them and had great views of two Western Kingbirds and one Tropical Kingbird.
Over in the Annex I had a couple Swamp Sparrows and one calling Virginia Rail (never could get a good view).
