First of all, my thanks to Russ, Sue Kern and Karen Frauman
This particular part of the FTL count circle , I have done for 6 yrs. We had our highest total species 91 ( 90 previous high), but not many individuals oe warblers, vireos and special passerines.
The species count was due to planning and great weather for hawks soaring and few ducks but some "goodies"
Highlights
American Bittern-1 Tamarac fire station pond and marsh, Tamarac
Lesser Black Backed Gull -75 (Emerald Lake , OP)
Northern Shoveler-1 female = Staples pond ( behind) Commercial and University
Short-tail Hawk=Hampden Pines ( high above dark morph)
Chuck-wills Widow-1 Woodmont Natural area
Summer Tanager-1 Hampden Pines Park
Wilsons Warbler-1 ( female) Westin lagoon,FTL
Also of not urple Swamphen-10 City Furniture Ponds ,Tamarac High count for me.
