Western Spindalis & Great Black-Hawk

Tom Devecseri and I relocated the female Western Spindalis in the north-west part of Virginia Key, 50 meters south of the "Smoke on the Water" sign at the north end of the trail. "Smoke on the Water" trail can actually be seen on Google Maps.

For the last two days, we have observed the Great Black-Hawk perched in trees about a 100 meters past the pay booth, inside the park, at 4:45 PM.
