Migration is happening at Flamingo, at least in a subtle way. Since 4/5 the following have been seen (and/or heard) at Eco Pond (maximum # in parentheses):
*Upland Sandpiper (1 flyover today, calling)
Black-necked Stilt (5)
Gull-billed Tern (3)
Baltimore Oriole (3, all males, 1 appears to be some type of hybrid, perhaps a backcross)
Pileated Woodpecker (3, not normally seen here)
Swallow-tailed Kite (3)
Merlin (2)
Least Flycatcher (1)
Prothonotary Warbler (1)
Cape May Warbler (1)
Yellow-throated Warbler (1, albilora subspecies)
Northern Waterthrush (1, chip note)
Black-and-white Warbler (1 singing male)
Palm Warbler (many, beginning to sing)
Prairie Warbler (nesting)
White-crowned Pigeon (1)
Mourning Dove (2, just showed up this week)

Most have been seen several days in a row, perhaps the high winds are keeping them around...
