Not as distinctive as what's pictured in Sibley. I suppose a couple of generations of backcrosses could account for it. I'm hesitant to report a BW without confirmation, let alone a Lawrence's!
I'll try again to get a photo. If anybody else wants to try, it was seen in Tall Cypress (where else?) about 20ft up in and around the flowering red maples at the far end of the boardwalk. These have also been attracting hummingbirds and a Summer Tanager picking off insects feeding on the nectar.
