Yesterday while traversing the south end of FL Bay heading for Sandy Key, Brynne Langan, Dennis Olle and I also saw a storm-petrel. Unfortunately ours wasn't as cooperative. We only got brief glimpses from quite a distance, it did an amazing job of disappearing when we gave chase to get a closer look. My initial imipression was Band-rumped, but I really couldn't be sure. We also noted quite a bit of sargassum, which is unusual in that area.

Also of note were at least 30 Northern Gannets in several different groups moving south and east through the bay. These were all sub-adults and this is the first time I've ever seen them in FL Bay.
